For me, cooking and sharing meals is not just a routine; it's a soul-lifting expression of love. While we have a set menu for breakfasts and lunches, I wake up thinking about dinner. I love looking forward to nightly gatherings around our table as a family to eat and the process of cooking. Gathering is one of the most important things we do, and I want to make the food part approachable and delicious, so getting people around your table nightly, weekly, or monthly feels doable.

I meticulously plan our dinners by taking inventory, curating a collection of keepers loved by the whole family, and incorporating fresh, seasonal recipes. I love to read cookbooks, honor the seasonality of produce, stay true to our food values, adhere to a budget, and align with our busy schedules. And, I admit, I’m not fond of leftovers 🤭😂. 

With a comprehensive monthly plan, I embark on a shopping spree for all the freezable and non-perishable pantry items. Weekly reassessment allows me to replenish with a strategic focus on fewer trips to the store and reducing food waste – a commitment close to our hearts.

Our philosophy is tight yet loose. It allows occasional mood-driven deviations and unexpected pivots. Intention and flexibility keep our kitchen dynamic and exciting, especially with two kiddos as sous chefs.
